The Prize, generously sponsored by Romania\u2019s\nCraiova Shakespeare Foundation, consists of a cane topped with a figure in\nsilver of the Greek muse of comedy, after whom it is named. It is presented\nevery other year to someone who, in the view of the Association, has caused a\nchange in critics\u2019 thinking through his or her writings.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The 12-year-old prize has been awarded to: UK-born critic, Eric Bentley (2006), Jean-Pierre Sarrazac (2008), Richard Schechner (2010), Kapila Vatsyayan (2012), Eugenio Barba (2014), Femi Osofisan (2016) and, now, to Hans-Thies Lehmann, at the 29th\u00a0World Congress of IATC, held in St Petersburg, October 14, 2018<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div
