Critical Stages\/Sc\u00e8nes critiques<\/em>, the journal of the International Association of Theatre Critics (IATC), is available online to the reader without financial, legal or technical barriers. It is a journal fully committed to the Open Access Initiative. It is a peer-reviewed journal which offers a platform for debate and exploration of a wide range of theatre and performing arts manifestations from all over the world. Its editorial board consists of distinguished theatre people from around the world (to view the list of the journal\u2019s editors please visit the \u201cEditorial Board\u201d page of the journal: www.critical-stages.org).<\/p>\n

Since its first issue, in 2009, the global significance of the journal has grown impressively. Today, thousands of theatre fans, scholars and artists from all over the world visit the website per year. Our aim is to make our readers feel that Critical Stages\/Sc\u00e8nes critiques<\/em> is their \u201clocal\u201d journal with a global reach. To this end we will continue to document, celebrate, challenge and foster internationally the discipline and the art of theatre criticism, with theatre broadly defined; to employ theatre criticism as a springboard for opening communication between theatre practitioners, theoreticians and the general public; to create a \u201ccritical space\u201d for the theatre critic to develop and thrive; to increase the general readership for theatre criticism by providing international readers with a source for information and dynamic discussion of themes and trends in contemporary international theatre; and to offer a broader practical, aesthetic and theoretical outlet to those interested in recent developments across national and disciplinary boundaries.<\/p>\n

To help increase the journal\u2019s accessibility and readership please feel free to post our link on your facebook and\/or twitter\/webpage, or forward the link to people who may be interested and encourage them to do the same.<\/p>\n

Those interested in having their articles considered for publication should contact the editor-in-chief (spats@enl.auth.gr<\/a>) or the editor of the respective section (i.e. Performance Reviews, Book Reviews, Essays, etc). Once a manuscript is accepted for publication it undergoes language editing, in order to provide the highest publication quality possible. Submissions should not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication while being evaluated for this journal. They must also adhere to the style and ethics of the journal.<\/p>\n

Critical Stages<\/em>\/Sc\u00e8nes critiques<\/em>, la revue Web de l\u2019Association internationale des critiques de th\u00e9\u00e2tre (AICT), est disponible en ligne sans aucune barri\u00e8re financi\u00e8re, l\u00e9gale ou technique. Cette revue dot\u00e9e d\u2019un comit\u00e9 de lecture, enti\u00e8rement vou\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019Initiative de libre acc\u00e8s, constitue un lieu de d\u00e9bats et d\u2019exploration d\u2019un nombre important de manifestations de th\u00e9\u00e2tre et de performance du monde entier. Notre comit\u00e9 \u00e9ditorial est form\u00e9 de gens de th\u00e9\u00e2tre importants d\u2019un grand nombre de pays (la liste compl\u00e8te de ces membres se trouve \u00e0 la page \u00ab\u2009Editorial Board\u2009\u00bb de la revue, \u00e0\u00a0: www.critical-stages.org).<\/p>\n

Depuis sa fondation en 2009, la revue a connu une croissance impressionnante. Aujourd\u2019hui, des lecteurs de plus de 200 pays visitent notre site Web chaque ann\u00e9e. Notre objectif est de faire en sorte que nos lecteurs aient l\u2019impression que Critical Stages<\/em>\/Sc\u00e8nes critiques<\/em> est une revue\u00a0\u00ab\u2009de chez eux\u2009\u00bb ayant une port\u00e9e mondiale. \u00c0 cette fin, nous continuerons \u00e0 documenter, \u00e0 c\u00e9l\u00e9brer, \u00e0 interpeller et \u00e0 promouvoir la discipline et l\u2019art de la critique de th\u00e9\u00e2tre, selon une d\u00e9finition large du th\u00e9\u00e2tre\u2009; \u00e0 recourir \u00e0 la critique comme d\u2019un levier pour lib\u00e9rer la communication entre praticiens, th\u00e9oriciens et grand public\u2009; \u00e0 cr\u00e9er un \u00ab\u2009espace critique\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0 pour permettre au critique de th\u00e9\u00e2tre de s\u2019\u00e9panouir et de prosp\u00e9rer\u2009; \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper le lectorat de la critique de th\u00e9\u00e2tre en offrant aux lecteurs de divers pays une source d\u2019information et de r\u00e9flexion dynamique sur les th\u00e8mes et les tendances du th\u00e9\u00e2tre contemporain dans le monde\u2009; enfin, \u00e0 offrir un important lieu de pratique esth\u00e9tique et th\u00e9orique \u00e0 ceux qui s\u2019int\u00e9ressent aux d\u00e9veloppements r\u00e9cents, par del\u00e0 les fronti\u00e8res des nations comme des disciplines.<\/p>\n

Si vous d\u00e9sirez publier un article, il faut s\u2019adresser soit au r\u00e9dacteur en chef (spats@enl.auth.gr<\/a>) soit ou au responsable de la section que vous envisagez (critiques de spectacles, comptes rendus de lecture, essais, etc.). Noter qu\u2019une fois un manuscrit accept\u00e9 pour publication, il est soumis \u00e0 une r\u00e9vision linguistique, ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 une validation des r\u00e9f\u00e9rences afin d\u2019atteindre la plus haute qualit\u00e9 possible. Nous n\u2019acceptons que des articles originaux, et non encore en attente de publication ailleurs au moment o\u00f9 ils sont \u00e9valu\u00e9s par notre revue. Ils doivent aussi adh\u00e9rer au style et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9thique de la revue.<\/p>\n
